Safety tips
- Check the stadium bag policy before you leave your hotel — clear bags must meet size rules.
- Don’t bring large backpacks or non-clear bags to the stadium.
- Note your nearest exit when you reach your seat.
- Follow the official transportation plan — no normal parking or tailgating on match days.
- Never buy tickets from people on the street — use official channels only.
- Buy official NJ Transit match-day rail tickets in advance through NJ Transit.
- Official fan events may need advance online registration — don’t pay anyone at the door.
- Avoid scanning QR codes on random flyers, posters, or messages.
- At JFK, LaGuardia & Newark, ignore drivers approaching you — follow signs to official pickup.
- Before getting in an Uber/Lyft, confirm the plate, driver name, and car match the app.
- Late at night, wait in bright, busy areas and stay back from platform edges.
- Ignore street offers for free tickets, CDs, photos, or unofficial tours.
- Call 911 for serious or life-threatening emergencies.
- For minor issues, urgent care or a pharmacy can be faster and cheaper than an ER.
- Save a screenshot of your travel-insurance policy and claims phone number.
- Carry a list of allergies, medications, and emergency contacts.
- Screenshot your tickets, hotel address, return route, and group meeting point.
- Carry a power bank — heavy network use drains batteries fast.
- Avoid unknown public Wi-Fi for banking, ticketing, or passport info.
- Turn on Find My iPhone / Find My Device before traveling.
- Keep a photo of your passport page on your phone; keep the passport itself secure.
- If your passport is lost or stolen, contact your consulate as soon as possible.
- If detained or arrested, ask that your consulate be notified.
- In NYC, call 311 for non-emergency help; call 911 for emergencies.
